Student Assistant (m/f/d) in Science Communication / Communication Design
Location: Ludwigsburg | Remote possible
Are you passionate about science communication and love creating visual content? Then become part of our interdisciplinary team!
We are looking for a student assistant from the field of communication design or a related discipline to support us in the development and implementation of communication materials for research projects and research environments.
Your Tasks:

Design of infographics, presentations, illustrations, and other visual materials to support our research projects

Contribution to the visual identity of Open Science initiatives

Close collaboration with researchers and other designers in the team

Creative translation of complex scientific content into clear and engaging visuals
Your Profile:

Currently enrolled in a degree program in communication design, visual communication, or a related field

Strong skills in common design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Figma)

Excellent English skills, both written and spoken

A good eye for layout, typography, and visual storytelling

Interest in scientific topics and in making complex content accessible

Independent and structured way of working – the position can be carried out remotely

Compensation starting in the summer semester 2025:

Student assistants: €13.98/hour

Assistants with a bachelor's degree: €14.87/hour
(based on the official rates for student assistants from the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts)
